Q: What is Boot Camp?

A: Boot Camp is the training without competing in the meets. Parents and youth athletes are welcome to train. The cost of boot camp is $75.00. Because our insurance only covers competing athletes, boot campers must also purchase a TAC card from the USATF.

Q: How can I become a coach?

A: All coaches are required to attend a coaches clinic each year. If you are interested in becoming a coach for the West Valley Eagles, please contact the Athletic Director, Jack Dawson, for more information.

Q: Who do I contact with a complaint?

A: We strive to offer a great program for our youth athletes, but occasionally, we understand some problems may arise that will make you feel concerned or even a little upset. If this happens, please do not hesitate to immediately contact the Athletic Director, Jack Dawson, so that he can get the situation worked out for all parties involved.

Q: How can I purchase Eagles merchandise?

A: Merchandise is available through the Eagles Store but due to the Coronavirus Pandemic we are not offering merchandise at this time.  We will announce when Eagles merchandise is available.

Q: When are the meets held?

A: The club meets are held on Saturdays at 8:30 a.m. Some invitational meets and finals are held on Sundays at 8:30 a.m. Please check the calendar for the specific meet dates and locations.

Q: What steps are taken when a child breaks the Code of Conduct?

A: It is our job to make sure all athletes have a safe environment within which to participate in this youth sports activity. Therefore the Code of Conduct is taken very seriously and anyone who does not abide by the code will be dealt with individually. Please do not hesitate to immediately contact the Athletic Director, Jack Dawson, so that he can get the situation worked out for all parties involved.

Q: When is Picture Day?

A: Please check the calendar for the specific date, time and location of Picture Day.

Q: When does my athlete practice?

A: Practices are held Mondays and Thursdays as follows:




Lower Division

5 to 9

6:00-7:15 PM

Upper Division

10 and up

6:00-7:15 PM


Q: How can my athlete become a West Valley Eagle?

A: In order to become a West Valley Eagle, you will need to provide the following information which can also be found in further detail on our Register page:

  1. completely filled out registration documents

  2. proof of age (if a new WVE athlete)

  3. sign-up fee (payment plans are available for qualified athletes)

Q: Does my athlete need to wear spike shoes?
A: Spikes are to be worn only when instructed to do so by your coach. Spikes may not be worn off the running surface at any time. Spike shoes, with or without the spikes, may not be wore by Gremlins.

Q: How do I volunteer? And Yes, we do NEED YOUR ASSISTANCE. Help will never be turned away.

Q: When do I get my uniform?

A: Uniforms will be distributed prior to the first track meet.
